Sektion Bern/Romandie
Women artists from the cantons of Bern, Aargau, Fribourg, Geneva, Neuchâtel, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Solothurn, Ticino, Vaud, Valais, Zurich, and Zug are members of the SGBK Bern/Romandie section.
We aim to achieve equality for women artists in the art world, in exhibitions and competitions, in the acquisitions made by the public sector as well as in their representation in commissions and juries.
In 2003, the SGBK Berne voted to finally elect a woman as a director of the Kunsthalle Berne. This became reality in 2015 with Valérie Knoll.
