The SWISS SOCIETY OF WOMEN ARTISTS (SGBK) is opening a new art space in Basel with a two-part Newcomer Show exhibition.
Patricia Amweg, Doris Horvath, Eveline Laing and Ada Ruf will be exhibiting their works in the 60 square metre space at Spalenvorstadt 18 from 19 June to 6 July 2024. While Amweg presents works with wire sculptures and abstract black and white paintings on wooden bodies, Ruf invites visitors to ponder the universe with her planetary paintings in acrylic, gouache and hammered metal. Laing makes objects float in space with her solarised photograms and Horvath presents old embroidered cushion covers painted with stone powder and natural pigments.
